SF Bay Area meet?

I think it has been... years(!?) since we last did one among just members.

I really miss seeing folks, conversing with them, and trying out their gears. The hobby was so much fun (and personal) back then.

I'll be able to pitch in for funds (if needed), too. Let's do it!

I have literally 0 interesting gear though, not that it really matters.

 

Better to be safe and it's always fun to meet with interesting people regardless of gear. I'm fully vaxxed, not allowed to get the booster yet (I tried).

 

Bumping this. I'll be in the Bay area for the next month for the last time in awhile. Would love to see you folks and I promise to bring gear. I don't have a really good spot to host though. Anyone have a spot we could crash?

I would love to attend as well. I have quite a few headphones (and a tone of pads), but nothing super expensive. I love my MG IIIa's but can't realistically bring those to a meet.

 

Not sure what the situation is looking like with Omicron but... yeah, I hope it's not that bad.

I just got my booster shot (waited as long as I could) and I'm doing super now. Also, started to look into meeting spaces and found this:

Around $400-ish for the whole day from 11AM to 7PM Sunday. Room can fit 15 people or so. I'm pretty sure we can afford to bring a few rigs.

If you guys are cool with that, I think I can pitch in around $100 - $150 for the room. Plus we can probably negotiate it down if we call. We can split the rest among ourselves and... voila, we have our meet!

We may want to also offer dates in March to give people more lead time.

I can't make it to the meet but I'll give @loadexfa a bunch of modded orthos to bring and I can contribute to the cost of the meet just to help out.

Updated my vote to "Other". I completely forgot I have some Lunar New Years plans on Feb. 6th, but will definitely try and make it if the dates get pushed out to a later date

Unfortunately, if it is in February...I will have to miss being there in person but will see what I can share for you guys to check out.
I totally applaud those organizing/attending a way overdue meet in the Bay Area!!

 

Unfortunately I've picked up my new job so I'm out of the NorCal game for awhile. If this gets bumped into late February or late March I might be able to swing a long weekend trip up (around a state holiday).
