There is not much on this site about hi-resolution (320k or higher) radio streams. There are many out there that even broadcast in FLAC. So feel free to post your favorite radio streams.

One I wanted to share is Radio Paradise.

They have a Rock, World, Mellow, and Main. I listen to mostly the Rock station as it reminds me of 70's FM AOR (album oriented rock) station, but modern.

I think the station is built into moOde, but may not have the FLAC links, even with metadata. They can be easily added and you can even listen from your phone if you want, either direct from the web or the app (which is just a front end browser to the listen page). Even direct form Alexa.

One of the cooler things is that if you don't like a particular song, you can skip it. You can even look at the play history and start there. Not sure how the all technology works as it is not a normal shoutcast server. Looks like something very custom to have both a mix of songs, but still allow some choice - at least from the web version.

SQ wise, I have found it one of the best. I have even done A/B with the same tracks that I have on my hard drive, and they sound very much the same. Meaning, there is very little, if any processing, which is also very rare. Oh, and it is completely free and commercial free. You can donate if you like (I did) since I enjoy it many times when I can't make a decision to listen to and almost always they play great music in high-quality. I have listened all day sometimes, but multiple days in a row can be repetitive, but it is SO worth it when you can't decide what to listen to.

Radio Paradise is an internet radio institution and better than any music discovery algorithm on any streaming service. I use it all the time.

Where else are you going to get a rock mix that goes from Radiohead, to Deep Purple, to Sonny Landreth, to The Beatles, to Tom Petty, to Death Cab for Cutie?

    Hardly ever a dud song.

Yep, and I agree about the sound quality. They stream up to full redbook FLAC. Great stuff.

Anyone who uses SiriusXM in their cars should try the online version (browser or app). For classical stations, sound quality is pretty good.

The online streaming has always been higher quality than the satellite feed due to bandwidth issues that exist on the satellite things. Sirius always sounded muffled to me and slightly underwater on the top end and XM just sounded swishy. The online streams when they started, were close to 128k mp3. I am not sure of what their current streaming bitrate is, but even a 128k mp3 sounded better than the satellite stream.

Radio Paradise is such a treasure. The station plays a wonderful mix of songs, and they really pull out some deep cuts.
