You could post a FAQ on your web page ("What's the nature of your feud with ASR?") in which you briefly describe the sequence of events that led to your shadowban, explain what happened, and post supporting evidence like the archive.org links. If anyone asks, that's your on-the-record statement. From them on, I strongly suggest you ignore ASR completely. You won't convince anyone there of anything no matter what happens.

“Right, and a measurement that can't be reproduced because not enough information has been provided for it to be reproducible is still useful info”. The guy is admitting useless measurements are useful.

    These guys are bat-shit insane.

A little late to the party. But fantastic video. I seldom "epic" posts containing external video -- well, honestly, YT or alikes -- links. But couldn't resist this time.. I learned perhaps some of them when I adventured dac measurements via cheap ADC myself, but failed to make this specific and evidenced claims. I also love how you pointed out maximum output level of gears can be gamed under the ap555/sinad dominating culture.

Plotting curves by amplitude or frequency will be definitely more informative (which I rely better than dashboard snapshot) .. but still vastly imperfect (i.e., gamable) I believe. Studying measurement device configuration is highly unmotivating for non-owners (myself included!). What's worse, from EARS experience, I've witnessed even quite a lot EARS owners or REW users did not read tech docs and manuals..

Eventually, we should need decent, consistent, meaningful, yet easy metrics of expressing variability -- that are even understandable to general audience. Say, a radius of confidence in replication (among sane configurations) on top of point measurements. Due to well-quantifiable and well-recordable nature, it must be doable ... with a lot of trials and errors (read: time, money, humans, energy, etc).

On the bright side, there are now multiple hobbyists who're playing with ap555. We may probably look forward to seeing more cross-validations happening down the road.

It's really funny because words like "science" or "scientific review" always (try to or at least pretend to) prioritize replicability over anything else. And one hobby site falsely uses those words in its name. Sigh.
