Anyone here from Singapore, who could help me with paying Duty for a package at SingPost Office?

When I purchase large audio gear like DACs or Amps, I use an agent, who uses his contacts in SG to bring the item into India. I purchased an Abbas DAC and I had it shipped to my agent's contact in SG. It has reached SG and has cleared customs and is awaiting Duty payment before SingPost can deliver it. My agent now tells me that his contact can only receive packages at home and is not proficient enough to visit the Post Office and make Duty payments.

I checked with the SingPost customer support and they confirmed that any individual can visit one of the Post Offices and provide the tracking number and make the Duty payment. I am reaching out for help here, as time is running out and I do not have any friends living in SG. I do not know the exact Duty amount as the SG contact says he has not received any notification yet. But my estimation is, it should be around $50 (USD).

So I am looking for someone who'd be willing to visit the SingPost Office and make the Duty payment. I can pay you in advance. Once the duty is paid, SingPost will deliver the package to the contact. So you wouldn't have to worry about handling the package.

Wasn't sure if he was in SG or US, so didn't check with him yet.

It's a sadly long time since I was a regular visitor to Singapore, and I know nothing, but, a shot in the dark...

    Could this help? SingPost App

I wonder if it works from here?

Thanks Thad, I already tried that, as it is one way one could pay duty. But you need a Singapore phone number to sign into the app and I learnt this week that getting even a VOiP Singapore phone number is not easy.

Also what I am unsure is, as the app asks you to create an account and sign in, if the person with a phone number different from the one on the package can pay the duty for this package through the app.

I’m not in Singapore right now, I literally just flew to the States a couple days ago and I won’t be back until early/mid-next month. Don’t have access to my SG number until I’m back either due to a lack of service. Really sorry guys.
