There's a caption missing to that one. Something to the effect of there being no doubt that it was curiosity that had klled the cats. Far Side, of course.

By the way: does any American ever actually say "Dang?"

 

I left the curiosity killed the cats out; thought it was obvious and I’m not sure anyone not as old as us even knows that first song ha ha.

 

Yes. When around children or at work or other places where it’s inappropriate to say words like f**k. Or by folks who somehow think substituting curse words isn’t essentially the same as cursing.

 

Last year I joined a support group for procrastinators. We haven't met yet. But we will. Real soon! Really!

A lot of people talked like that in 1964, and went on talking like that. When hair started being grown by guys, a lot of then-middle-aged people could, suddenly, no longer tell the boys from the girls.

Disclosure: actually, I didn't like the Beatles back then, but I didn't like pop generally.

Now, I love Grace Slick's derision (looking back on those days) of I Want to Hold Your Hand: "We didn't want to hold hands! We wanted to f**k!"

Oh... And now, yes, I do like that song. But not as much as White Rabbit.
