Putting up my Abbas DDC for sale. This is a Digital to Digital converter, takes a USB input, outputs SPDIF that you connect to a DAC. This works well obviously with Abbas Dacs.

This is not for sale anymore by Abbas unless he started selling again. I paid $800 I believe for it when purchasing new. Abbas gear is a bit temperamental when shipping, so I will make sure to package very well, and if anything happens I can help you in terms of getting it back to Abbas for repair if anything happens during shipping.

Friends: I am looking for $450 + shipping for this.
    Everyone else: $550 +_shipping
    Cheers all

the abbas USB DDC is the farthest thing from an Eitr with tubes. it is a USB defukifier (Eitr "piety edition") in the sense that it's sole purpose is to Attempt to remove Digitus from PC audio and make USB audio adjustable in sound using tubes and caps. it probably works best on an older dac (doesn't have to be abbas) without one of those digital input stage that'll reconstruct everything it receives.

it operates under the same principles as the DACS:

16bit 44.1khz is sufficient potential to be squeezed out by the rest of the chain
separate toroidal power transformers for everything
no modern diodes or regulators (discrete germanium shunt regs) in circuitry
adjustability of sound through tube rectifiers and caps (all digital)
fixed frequency tube clock (for USB receiver SPDIF output chip) - simplicity of oscillator circuit (no buffers or clock dividers) for this to work, it must use primitive limited rate usb chips
    tube SPDIF digital buffer

if you like digitus, MQA, or subscribe to "bit perfect sound" digital audio is 1's and 0's, trying to software oversample with this, SINAD, need more bits and samples for better sound, scared of tubes you should probably skip this

if you have an older DAC like a theta, sonic frontiers, AudioNote, other Diy DAC, etc and you want to try a different approach to digital audio or want to tinker with digital circuits this might be your fancy.
