    Very high power PA amps will omit the transformer completely and just rectify mains voltage.

    Just got this back from bobboxbody in grand rapids did a beautiful job adding good binding posts, rca's, caps a TKD pot . Its a fantastic amp 18 glorious watts. Drives my 89.5 floor stander two ways with ease and aplomb
