Since the drivers are purely capacitive in terms of impedance, i.e at high frequencies impedance is much lower compared to that of low frequencies, it is not very practical to include in our specs.

And yes, they need additional amplification and a DC bias voltage at the same time. Conventional amps will not be able to drive them to to their max potential.

 

I see. So they're basically meant to be paired with the iFi Audio Diablo-X at the moment (and potentially with other "MEMs-ready" sources in the future).

Out of curiosity, did you also get to evaluate Usound's new integrated "Kore 4.0" audio module? And may we possibly see a Soranik TWS at some point? Hope I'm not being too inquisitive...

 

We only had the opportunity to test the 3.0 so I cannot speak of the 4.0 unfortunately.

Personally I think the integrated modules for the MEMS at the moment still have room for improvements compared to proper amplifications, which would be more suitable for ‘audiophile’ listening.
