Yeah, but that means buying one of these 40-60$ hole punches. I will probably have to do that (and pay the 90$ shipping for the SBAF absorber material).
Oh btw: The two resonators I received matched incredibly tightly. Really amazing work.

 

Hey Sorrodje, I read pretty much everything but still slightly confused on why the end is blocked with paper and why you used multivarious material compared to the HD800S. I know this differs from the resonator in the HD800S, but in what ways would you highlight?

It seems HD800's resonator uses the same material all on through, why does yours use 3 layers? better measurements? Sorry If i missed out this info during my read.

 

For the resonator to work we need an enclosed cavity. This is why the end is blocked off.
This differs in that sorrodje uses a 2mm thick foam with a 6mm wide hole in the middle and felt on the walls.

The HD800S resonator is probably a paper on the top with a 7mm wide hole. We don't know for sure what material they are using at the other end and how thick it is afaik.

I also received my pair today safely and in good condition. Just installed them successfully with no issues. Thanks, Sorrodje! Difference is noticeable from my old etymotic foam tips mod. I feel like the etymotic foams drowned out the highs a bit. The SD mod is clearly superior.
