I just received the Shozy Zero from shotgunshane this weekend (thanks!). Please sign up below w. location if you're interested, deets to follow. If anyone from the NY area is curious about it, I'll hold it till next weekend before sending out since we're having a mini-meet.

Here are some brief impressions from @shotgunshane:

"It's bassy but very pleasant. If you've heard the Tenore, think of that plus a bit more mid bass and a bit more treble sparkle. For the asking price, I think it's good, as Iong as one isn't expecting neutrality."

I'm bumping this, is anyone interested? Or else it's going back where it came from.

What happened to all the people asking for this iem in the thread about what to spend our money on?

It's a great IEM. I really like it, hard to beat at that price.

These are on their way to laser. @SpaceLaser and anyone else that signs up thereafter, please send $10 to [email protected] if you haven't done so already, put the name of the loaner and your handle in the notes.

    Thanks.

First impressions: pleasantly warm, vocals aren't really harsh like I notice in most IEMs at this price range. Treble is a bit rolled and not the most resolving, but at least it's not annoyingly bright. Quite enjoying it so far.

Spent the past few days with them here and there (no serious listening) from various sources and I must say that these are very darn good. Slightly bassy and warm. Some lushness in the lower mids. Sounds like there might be a bit of unevenness in the upper mids, but this is very minor. Has a really nice downward slope similar to the Andromeda, but more rolled up top and more lower mid lushness. I speculate that the lushness might be because it's a dynamic driver ??? with associated distortion characteristics. The dynamic driver bass texture is certainly there and quite welcome.

As for the downsides, I'm not a big fan of compact bullet body IEMs with the wires hanging down, but at the price, this can't be beat. Soundstage is wide, but lacks depth, layering, and separation. There is no hole in the middle effect, but also no imaging precision in the middle - just a blob. Efficiency isn't all that great, and macrodynamics seem compressed, mids muddy, and plankton lacking compared to the best stuff out there. Cable is rubberized microphonic shit, but again, at the price, I can't bitch too much about it. Seriously, why can't more IEM manufacturers make stuff with FR targets more like this?

I agree with most of your points, it's quite an easy and pleasing listen compared to about any other cheapo IEM I've heard.

Maybe more will want to audition after seeing these measurements?

All in all, not much to complain about at this price. A very pleasant iems indeed.

If you don't mind, I'd like to hold on to them a bit for additional measurements. Will check to see if Gilberto wants to get his hands on it.

Making the rounds after a busy few weeks - looks like this one is almost wrapped up, I'll leave it to you to get them to @ultrabike and back to @shotgunshane, Marv.
