LMAO. People keep asking, so I guess I'll put the question to rest.

I've had a lot of friends since college who happen to be furries, and several of them are talented artists. I've enjoyed thinking up dorky animal-folk with them and seeing them brought to life (one of my best friends does story boards and is a cartoonist). Luxembourg is one such character: he has a convoluted, ridiculous backstory and has become something of a mascot for me more than something I actually identify with on a personal level.

That being said, I actually do have a fursona! It's far from some idealized vision or wish fulfillment, and more just "me with animal parts" because I think that's fun. I'm a major fantasy and sci-fi nerd, so I love mythical creatures and aliens and different anatomy. I love transformation as a theme: werewolves and poor sods afflicted with curses and whatnot. Plus I enjoy designing characters in general, be they anthropomorphic critters or humans or whatever. Gives me an excuse to plan out costumes and fashion too.

So do I consider myself a furry? *shrug*

I think anthros can make for neat characters. I also find there's a certain aesthetic appeal to hybridization. Some of the art is cool (and some of it is repulsive).

At the end of the day, I'm definitely -not- into the lifestyle aspect of it. The thought of wearing a fursuit and / or going to conventions, surrounded by others wearing fursuits, is not appealing to me in the slightest. I don't think poorly of those who do enjoy it, though. It's just not for me.

Let's say you could re-reboot the DC movie franchise (or any other). Who would be your fan picks to represent your favourite heroes?

This is something that really weirds me out about American television... all these commercials for drugs where they spend the first 10 seconds telling you how great it is, then the next 20 listing all the ways you might die. Then just for fun the commercial after that is a lawfirm telling you if you've ever experience side effects from some other drug, to call in and join their class-action whatever to make mucho money.

While my German and French are too schoolboy to really get to grips with these guys, I do enjoy the Birtwistle settings of Celan, and the Boulez scoring of Mallarmé. Seems like something about the language got these stern alpha modernists to soften up a bit...

Actually no, I only listened to the music. Today I am not in the business of that kind of entertainment. I can recommend you the Hungarian Phrasebook...

Oh gosh, I'm really bad with casting. I just don't really care enough about actors who aren't Bill Murray, and he's already a superhero as it is, so...

I'd definitely re-do the Green Lantern movie.

I'd also want a Doom Patrol movie and a Seven Soldiers of Victory movie.

Hm? Don't worry 'bout it, it's all good.

I just meant my dumb egocentric thread has started a trend of similar threads.

There's nothing wrong with dumb, egocentric threads in the "Random Thoughts" section. I actually like them; I mean, I made *this* thread didn't I?

I just found it amusing that I'm a trend setter when it comes to dumb, egocentric things 'round these parts.

Actually, I was thinking noisy egocentricity.

There @Wfojas has probably got the right answer: smart egocentricity
