One of these years I'll go through the process and use Basshead.Club as my excuse for being allowed into NAMM. It somehow seems to always fall when I'm particularly busy at work, so I never do so.
First time here. It's really best to focus on stuff you really want to see. This is something of a bucket list thing for me.
Check out Rob Elrick’s beautiful basses if you walk by his booth. I have an Elrick. He still hand carves every US bass himself.

I go on there very occasionally. Sometimes I get some 5 string GAS, but funds priorities put that on the backburner since I already have a 4 string.
