If ram was more reasonably priced I would say go for 16. I upgraded to 16 in my Lenovo a few years ago because I kept getting memory allocation errors/crashes trying to run Chrome and illustrator/photoshop with only 8GB. Based on what you are running 8 GB should be fine. Make sure you get something with an SSD as well.

Agreed. SSD is the single largest performance improvement one can make on any computer.

An SSD will ruin you for spinning disks. But if you go cheap for some reason make sure to avoid eMMC. It has more in common with an SD card than anything genuinely high end. It is not what people mean when they wax lyrical about the performance benefits of solid state.

How does these do for active use? Meaning jogging, walking, bicycling, ect. In picturesI noticed there does not seem to be any replaceable filters on the nozzle.

@Poleepkwa - Nozzle has no filter. It's a very comfortable IEM and would probably be fine for active use. However I refuse to use anything more expensive then $30 IEMs if I plan to wear anything while running. But that's just me, I really don't like distractions while I do something.

Not used an SDAC. I did have a similar issue with an m9xx, which required the appropriate 24-bit (or 32-bit, I cannot recall now) setting. It otherwise refused to play from Foobar2000.

Listened to my Superlux 668 through my PC audio jack last week. It was an interesting contrast to HD6xx with an amp.

I had the exact same experience with my se215s compared to my current day IEMs. Also when I tried out the MCTH for the first time compared to my fiio k5.

Every now and then I plug headphones into the 3.5mm jack in my Dell monitor at work just to remind myself why I spent all this money.
