Which manufacturer would this be? I know AKG reportedly advocates shit-tons of burn-in for their K7-- series, but all the rest I know of are incidental reports from consumers.

@Lyer25 See the thread on HF about that new ultra portable closed back with a Be driver.

@BenjaminBore There are times when I forget Head-Fi exists. I admit I'm curious though, so heading off :))

Also, beryllium drivers? Hah, I know they've been around for a while now, but Focal certainly seems to have birthed a new buzzword.

If you’re willing to lose some grey matter in the process one can gleam some useful info from time to time.

I’m just happy that we’re seeing more use of something other than TPE.

I'm not sure why it was tuned that way. I haven't heard a single person say that the bass wasn't overwhelming

He's taking a shot at KB's new closed back, like he did with the Andros...

As a biocellulose fan myself, have to agree that experimenting with different materials and getting to hear the results is great fun.

As for the bass-heavy tuning... maybe they're trying to reach out to fun-fi consumers? The cans are priced a bit high for mass market EDM heads though.

@JK47 I did not "take a shot" at the Andromeda, I was simply surprised why somebody would claim they are neutral. In the end, I personally prefer neutrality which I think is the closest to transparent, e.g. does not distract from the music

Not to mention 72 hours is a _very_ curious number. It must be based on data and controlled research for such a claim. So that basically means somebody ships an unfinished product by the manufacturer's perspective. That is a fine line between material and finished product
