After years of listening to music 99% of the time via headphones, I finally set up my old speakers. Not bad.

Couldn't sleep, so I went downstairs and completed a needle drop of New Order's "Blue Monday" - my 12" single version (re-issued in 1985).

The Spin-Clean Record Washer is a product I really like. Just got mine yesterday, washed a over a dozen LPs. Easy to use. Effective.

For the vinyl folks: If you have multiple cartridges, does each cartridge fill a specific need, or do you just like trying different carts?

I saw a survey at another site, and most had <=5 carts, but a number had 10-20. I thought, "My God... carts can't be like headphones, can they?!"

It's easier if you have a tonearm with a removable headshell like the SL-1200 or its clones. One use case where I think it makes sense is if you listen to a lot of early mono records. Some Audio Technica guys also like to run a given cartridge body and swap styli. In general I'm also in the find something good and stick with it camp

I can swap headshells easily with my unit. I have 2 carts: Ortofon 2M Red and Shure V15 Type III.

Replaced headshell and cartridge on my KD-2070. Everything went great, and the music sounds great. This could be addicting.

Has it solved the 'clunk' problem you were having?

I adjusted my other headshell/cartridge (VTF and alignment), and the clunk went away. Played half-a-dozen albums and listened via headphones to confirm. Weird.

My turntable may need to be replaced. Weird audible "clunk" sound is noticeable - especially between tracks.

Turned out pretty well. "Ripped" at 96/24, Elvis Costello's "This Year's Model." Wanted to do an album with which I am very familiar.

Boxed up all my Schiit gear (Vali 2, Magni 3, Modi Multibit, Eitr, Loki EQ) except Gungnir Multibit. Probably keep Vali & Eitr. Sell the rest?

Defective demo model of AURALiC Taurus MkII returned; brand new model received. Burning in now. XLR input functions properly, unlike demo!

I really enjoyed mine while I owned it (which was for a couple years.) Sorry you had a problem, but isn't it nice when you buy a demo model, and then they have to give you a brand new one? :)

Gungnir Multibit -> Taurus MkII -> HE4XX is a musical combo. Taurus takes to HE4XX to another level.

Unless something is broken, the balanced output of the Taurus MkII is absolutely unforgiving of poorly mastered releases.
