You're not really missing out on much. Horse is a lot like beef but it's chewier and stringy.

It's everywhere in France but I've never had it before. Even there a lot of people don't eat it

If you hate it or ate it?

I unknowingly ate some in Japan at Tsukiji Market. I got a big tray of fresh sashimi/sushi and got to a piece that tasted like steak! I asked what kind of fish tasted like steak (instantly my favorite fish!), and he told me it was horse. Oh.

Feel free to hate horse steak as much as you want while in Canada.

if it's adorable miniature horse meat, i'd say F U, marv! otherwise, NP.

I hate horse steak no matter where I am, but that's kinda obvious.

If you’re WANTING to get hated on for some politically incorrect food choices, swing by the east coast for some seal meat. I’m sure I have a spare club around here somewhere...

I hope it tastes better than dog food; that stuff is awful

Also tried horse sashimi in Japan. It was ok, no late night munchy cravings.
