General purpose wireless usage. Most likely in the office.

If you’d use it to transit on loud busses or planes with active noise canceling, it’s better than IEMs or closed headphones.
If a closed over-ear or IEM would provide enough isolation, use that instead (preferably with proper dap or amp) as the headphone is quite uninspiring. Frequency response seemed okay once you turn down bass in the accompanying phone app, but it never stirred much emotion while listening.

Yep what @AdvanTech said. I quite like my MDR1000x for plane/train use, but they're not the last word in fidelity. Noise cancelling is impressive though. For a flight earlier this week I just used them in noise cancelling mode with nothing playing, on top of some nice iems playing tunes :-). Worked a treat.

I tried it in a shop. SQ was ok. The M50X next to it sounded a lot more “correct” though...

Yeah. It doesn’t compete with proper headphones, but none of those noise cancelling phones do.

Did you end up buying these? I'm in the same situation. iPhone 8 is standard for work, and I'd like to consider wireless for traveling.

I did not. That has been the best of that kind(NC) I have tried.Sound was not bad, considering the convenience features.
