Oh I agree, was just wondering if it was some juicy gear. Canada post being late on international delivery is not unexpected in my experience. They barely hit a super long delivery date they gave me for something coming from Edmonton :(
I'm waiting for some Diaclone and Sony EX1000s coming from Japan directly. I'd say aside from big telecomm companies CP may be the single most hated Canadian company...
Banks are actually kinda cool, I get what I've paid for... Unlike CP. In the last 2 weeks, I've experienced: 1 delivery to wrong address, 1 wrong key placement for a delivery to a personal mailbox, 1 envelope returned to me (I'm the sender, CP customer service told me after 1 week of investigation that the cashier entered the sender/receiver info wrong), and now this "expected delivery: yesterday"
Sheesh. Surprisingly I've had virtually no problems with CP other than being slow on occasion delivering something, but never past the estimated date. Maybe it's because I live outside an urban area, dunno. The banks just drive me crazy with all the fees for everything and constant calls to try to sell me more shit I don't want, or try to sign me up for a new credit card.
I too have had 'expected delivery' in the past - for shipments from elsewhere in Canada, not even international! Worst is when you're waiting for something sent via one of the big international postal cos or from China, though; it can sit in the Toronto / Vancouver warehouse for more than 2 months.
