    So I could spend $150 to replace the woofer, or $400 to get these, 3 way design, with 18" woofers....

    Aren't those the Cabaret series? If so, that is more for live sound reinforcement. I mean, those take 400W RMS. I would be afraid to fry them with a normal underpowered amp. Besides, they are probably voiced too bright in a small space.

    Yeah, but my current speakers are part of the jbl sr series, so still meant for that. And one of the woofers has a saggy voice coil that is rubbing. Though I could replace it for around $150.

    Recone kit is around $100 and I could just get a used woofer for $150. But I think I just temporarily fixed it by flipping the woofer upside-down.
