Bohemien Rhapsody was pretty great. Lots of music. Plan to go see it.

Just bought an original Asgard for the same price as a Magni 3 for work setup. Hope it doesn't suck.

Regarding dislikes those irked by them hold less credibility because they are less likely to truly speak their mind, their opinions may not hold up under scrutiny, and that person may not rise to the necessary debate those contributions foster.

Ignore them, or figure out why you can’t, so that one day you can.

@JK47 I see the method in your manner and appreciate the good it does, but if someone isn’t getting the memo then what can realistically be achieved? Perhaps it’s simply to run them off, which given the mission statement of SBAF I can appreciate, but if they’re never going to get it then there is a danger of it veering into bullying.->

If it’s getting to that point and the direct approach isn’t working either then maybe it’s a better use of everyone’s time and ultimately less noisy to put an argument forward to a moderator for that person to be banned, and leave it there.

Totally sucks getting passed over for a promotion. Companies say they don't have people in mind when jobs are posted, but they do. They do.

Bifrost Multibit + Vahalla 2 + HD650 is some creamy goodness. Every DAC I have owned at this point has been crap. Holy Schiit!

Anyone know how long it takes to do a Schiit DAC upgrade? Looks like it is finally time to send my 4490 off for an upgrade.

I just put my house on the market...I hope I am in the same house. Lol.

Serirously though, I was #79 on Friday, so Schiit must have just received a schiitload of Bifrost Multibit boards from their vendor. I'll be okay.

I was told today an average of two weeks in the factory for Yggdrasil upgrades. Not counting shipping either way.

Had a similar jump in the queue. Probably 100 slots in a few weeks. 47 in one week!!

If your queue number didn't go down much might be that they don't work through on the weekends? Would make sense to me, at least.

Only kefs I've heard are mid 90s Reference Model Threes, which will be mine in April next year. They blew my mind with the soundstage and bass impact.

@Cellist88 I run dual subs - one on each side. Although they hardly need it. For 6.5" bookshelves, they pack a low end punch. I still run a crossover an subs because clarity.

And @bengo, I used to sell the BM15A's and they blew most everything else we had out of the water, but didn't sell much too that hefty price tag. I think they had Bryston amps in them.

Considering what you get, I thought the price was pretty reasonable (also, mine are ex-demo at £1.5k rather than £2k IIRC)

"Subjective impressions are great, really. Without them, what's the point..." This only means I try not to listen to the gear rather listen to the music.

An audio enthusiast with a recording degree. I became an audiophile in college in studying recording to become a mastering engineer. Although I was an intern for Glenn Meadows and also was acquaintances with Ray Kennedy, the stars never quite aligned for me. However I never left pursuing high-end audio.

I grew up in a radio station as my dad was in radio. My first job was a board op at the talk station where I had to use analog reel to reels, carts, cassettes, and DAT's.

And yes, I like to tinker with gear. I am an audiophile on a budget. Working IT Instructional Designer only gets you so much income with two kids around. Have you seen how much day care costs these days? Anyways, there are I guess some gains to some gear that can be tweaked to improve the performance. This is no different than car types changing differentials or beefing up the suspension or engine. Some of us can't afford a BMW, but rather have to take a Civic and beef it up with aftermarket parts.

Tinkering also helps with repairing gear. I have restored some KEF C75 speakers, an Elac Miracord 50H. I have also fixed, soldered, suped up, many other things from crossovers, to cap replacement, to op-amp replacement, etc. I most recently fixed and rebuilt a non-working Dynalo. I took electronics and studio maintenance in college, but I am still learning.

I have also built: guitar tube amps, guitars, and drums. I love DIY.
