    The speakers are bi amped with 60w and 10w, so I cant be overdriving them. What could be the problem?

    The opposite maybe, your amp doesn't have enough power and is clipping on the output. Or whatever is feeding the amp has too high level i.e. clipping on the input.

    Right now the system goes Carver ct-7 to minidsp 2x4 to amps. Yeah, something might be clipping there. Woofers sound fine at lower volume though.

    Maybe ill get a new amp for the woofers. I see a Superphon DM 200 on craigslist for $300, I might get that when I get the money

    Yeah, it's likely the amp or MiniDSP clipping. Not having enough power can do more damage to speakers than having too much power

    Ill have to play with the jumpers in the minidsp too, I may have set the input sensitivity wrong. Ill check that now.

    Moved the input sensitivity jumpers on minidsp from 0.9v to 2v. That should help prevent clipping, right?

    Yes, it sounds like you are clipping the MiniDSP, either at the input or to much gain in the software side. Which MiniDSP you have?
