Previously ran 2nd order min-phase around 90Hz. Had a nasty high Q null at 100Hz, which was messing with a lot of stuff. Also the sub was playing too high, thus muddying up stuff and the 8” midwoofer sometimes struggled by going too low.
Steeper slopes meant that none of the drivers struggle and lin-phase changed timing around the crossover zone. Overall the result is a cleaner and punchier bass without the 100 - 170Hz hole.
Used to own a 2x4HD, but my Mac mini for 300eur can do much more. It runs a Reaper DAW which routs X-over, timing and room correction via plug-ins. Also Roon runs on it.
