Yeah, the Hiby R3 thread is just a bunch of people patting themselves on their own back for such a smart purchase decision. Seems cool, but I fear the Saber DAC inside...

For me at least - sabres dacs in portable forms a lot more more agreeable than their desktop cousins.

I mean, that's mainly what you can say about it.

It has no power to speak of, so anything with less than ~100db sensitivity sounds horrible and strained on it. Other than that it's a tiny, inoffensive sounding dap.

I am mostly interested in how does it fare against ZX300, DargonFly Black/Red, ect. Specs show it has more power than ZX300 in SE mode.

Sorry. I had no experience with the known refs including Dragonfly and any of the Sony lineup.

Well, someone did mention the Sony A45 as slightly warmer sounding. That was about as in depth as it went. The thread for it here while only 5 pages has been more informative .

As is usual with audio, have to try myself. Shanling M0 incoming.

I had a M0 briefly and literally never plugged anything into the jack. I only got it for LDAC streaming (which it did not-great at) and so I returned it and got a used ZX300 instead.

I am mostly interested in it for on the go usage with IEM's (Clip Zip style).The ZX300 is rather bulky compared to it.
