https://www.kingscross.co.uk/spiritland is worth a visit. Contact them first to see when they're spinning a record. Dishoom is very close by and serves excellent Indian food if you like that sort of thing.
Ok well, coffee shops in London are generally a hipster bunch, but lots of nice coffee nevertheless. You could do Origin Coffee in Charlotte Street, then a 15 min walk to Rough Trade East, then a walk up Brick Lane to Flashback Records.
I second audiosanctuary. New Malden is not exactly London, but, depending on which corner of London you are coming from, it isn't far either. Get your Sennheiser spares there! Maybe other makes too. That's what I went for. I didn't spend much time, but it looked like a great shop with lots on display
The staff were friendly too. They would have been friendlier if they hadn't /really/ wanted to watch their national football team play in the world cup, lol... I respected that and left them to it.
Oh, I might add that I am an ex Londoner, although I was there for a few weeks this year. No specific advice on this idea therefore... but you might be interested in seeking out one or two places that sell pro audio stuff.
