Some Fiios, some Shures. Some of the lower end stuff.

Yeah, I've given up on universals. They all hurt after an hour or so. If I invest in an IEM in the future it'll have to be custom.

Acrylic ciems are the only ones I can do for more than an hour. Tips make the inner ear itch.

Sounds like I'm not crazy. I was deciding to get the ZMF Classic or another IEM for my office set up. I'm leaning on the ZMF Classic, people saying it's good stuff.

IEMs are popular because there are only so many hi-end closed cans around. Good closed hp --> any IEM for comfort and durability.

Yeah, CIEMs unless you are lucky enough to find ear tips that fit your ears. Personally, I find some IEMs to be better than TOTL closed cans and that justifies the price tag.

I only use them when I have to have the isolation. Otherwise, it's my portapros on the go.

I use vintage Etymotic ER-4Ps while on the lawnmower. No matter which tips I use they still get a little itchy after a half hour or so. I also have seal issues unless the tips are brand new.
