    Whatever Ubuntu does by default, I think it’s grub 2.0, the problem has been with the installer being all janky on my system, and if I manage to get through it somehow, the system is super janky and doesn’t even startup like half the time

    Sometimes you have to boot the installer with the same loader (EFI/BIOS legacy) as you wanna run the OS. Dunno if Ubuntu installer is that way.

    I think I might’ve finally gotten it working, we will see though. I had to update my bios? Whatever, now I can finally move on to getting my tools working, which should be even more fun

    Make a script to do most of that, and include your .rc and .login files, then make a `dotfiles` repo on github to house them (no secrets, of course).

    Next time you need to do it, it's installing git, pulling, and running script(s).
