That sounds like a good question for @dBel84

What they’ve been building looks FANCY :)

I've been itching to build an F5 myself. Seems relatively simple and is scalabale to both your needs and your skill level with the turbo, monoblocks, etc.

Yeah, looks like dBel84 has built everything.

F5 is the most typical of the bunch. There's a guy at diyaudio named 6L6 that has excellent build guides on a bunch of Pass amps. Gives a good idea how difficult it is.

F5 is supposed to be the least coloured, but as @E_Schaaf noted, it is highly configurable. The M2x is very simple and has a fair sprinkle of second harmonic. I wouldn't try build a jfet version unless you have the power Jfets, same goes for the VFET amps. The SIT amps are getting a lot of buzz, this is the one I am struggling with now. Hoping it is all it is being cracked up to be.

Anyone heard the Amp Camp Amp and can compare it to the more exotic Pass designs?

The MoFo looks super cool. Plywood base + simple build + funky looking choke + big heatsink = love. But... I'd be driving whatever I build straight outta a Schiit DAC output. Makes me wonder if the MoFo with its unity gain would work in that application. Anyone know? My rudimentary IVR knowledge is failing me.

The single-ended output of the Modi MB is 2Vrms. That's 2 watts peak with 4 ohm speakers (1W/8ohm). That's not a lot unless you have very sensitive speakers. You would also have similar problems with the F4.
