Counterfeit UTP cable is a thing. Had a contractor try to pass some off on a project at work some years ago. Deal with a reputable vendor is the best advice.
Thanks for looking out. I have some simple tests in mind for 'em, but I'd welcome any suggestions for verifying their quality (w/o requiring specialized tools). Hoping that buying them from an eBay seller that seems to be a reputable liquidator also works in my favor.
