Fixes itself after a computer restart, but comes back randomly. Pretty annoying. Also occasionally, wont play any sound unless I unplug and plug in usb on eitr

It could be that the clocks on the computer and the DSPro hate each other. Try forcing the pc to use the clock on the DSPro.

But doesn't the computer not really interface with the dspro, and just with the eitr? I don't really know how this digital clock stuff works

Does the Eitr or the DSPro show up in your devices? I'm not too sure how the Eitr works/interfaces with PC's

Maybe I should replace my USB cable too, I tried switching, and it still had issues, and it does go away when restarting computer, but I probably should jut be sure and replace this USB cable I found in my basement that is who knows how old.

Another thing you might try is just to connect the DSPro directly. I don't think the Eitr is the problem but doesn't hurt to check

DSPro doesn't have USB, and computer doesn't have Coaxial (or optical, but optical is broken on DSPro)

Ah. It does really sound like a clock issue to me (between Eitr and PC). If it's possible to force one clock to match the other it should be okay but I'm not sure how to do that here.

You can use DCP Latency Checker to see if there's anything wrong there. I had a service that was interfering and music had artefacts.

Maybe you need to turn down the output level a little. If it sounds like it is clipping, maybe it is... clipping.

DPC latency more likely to produce clicks and dropouts.

I feel like clipping was the wrong word, more like little clicks. I'll check that out

Then you should use the DPC Latency tool mentioned.

Hope that is a problem you don't have: it is terrible one to solve.

Could be a bad cable - try swapping them out. I had a similar issue a few years back that drove me insane... it was just the cable.

I did try swapping cables and it didn't help, but both were just old printer cables I had laying around.

ASIO with a smaller than ideal buffer would sound like that.
