    to my main system as a DAC in place of Yggdrasil, just to see if it still worked.

    Mother-fer, the thing actually sounds really good!! I was going to sell it for like $75 or less. Forget that!

    I'm actually a fan of iFi's sound so as far as I'm concerned nah, not really. IIRC some people hated on the silver Nano, which I remember thinking wasn't THAT far behind the Micro. DACs really are largely splitting hairs.

    Do note my ears very likely such so... :))

    never used as pure DACs, but iFi nano BL iDSD and xDSD are great sounding with IEMs primarily.

    I get space (atmosphere), bass and smoothness from this thing. Bass is strong, but not offensive, and no hint of digititius anywhere. And a big soundstage too. Really fun to listen to. It’s not a resolution champ or crazy on transients/dynamics for sure, but flows really well and sounds pretty natural.
