    I don't have experience other than listening to one. I would suspect that first you have to get the os to recognize and mount the drive, then I would look for a player like MPD. Do you have dietpi or volumio as your os? I only heard it as a Roon endpoint. I hope someone can chime in, but you can always go to the Allo or OS forums. I know Allo has a support thread on audiophile style.

    I have dietpi. I have the drive mounted, but O!mpd can't update the database even if it can see the files. If it can't add to the database, it can't play the file.

    Have you tried rebooting the system? I haven’t used dietpi in particular, but with other Pi OS’s, a simple reboot fixed things for me a lot of the time.

    I tried with O!mpd and couldn’t get it to work. I then tried JRMC and Roon and both work great, but Roon sounds the best.
