Looks like the default SBAF starter kit to me.

Not bad. But for real starters, I'd recommend fulla 2: cheaper, more portable, 90-95% as good as modi3+magni3

... and 6xx is kinda evil. Too many traps unless experienced. I believe 58x a friendlier and more solid performer for any less serious rigs.

That's partly one. Modding is another. I honestly don't consider unmodded and sub-optimally driven 650/6xx "that attractive".

I briefly tested with my mom before.. She liked dt880 and denon (d5000) much better over hd6xx from fulla 2. She thought 6xx muddy and veiled. I kinda agreed.

PS. those two have been being used by my mom and dad since then. lol.

Tinnitus is more so brought on by volume than audio quality. It's always nice to see people moving to better gear though. I believe the HFM 4XX are better value, easier to drive, and comparable in quality to the 6XX - maybe point her in that direction?

If she needs isolation, the ZMF Classic shouldn't be overlooked. Dunno if Fulla 2 can drive it, but Zach would know. Best luck!
