Meske on 47th and 10th ave (Hell's kitchen) is good Ethiopian food. The Brooklyn museum has a bunch of Egyptian stuff and the Brooklyn Botanical garden is there.
Back to Manhattan, both the Morgan library and the Rubin Museum are lovely smaller museums.

There are several great places... but for me, to visit Ellis island and watch many immigrants history searching for a better life was remarkable

For tourist I would stay in Manhattan unless you know what you are getting yourself into by hanging out in Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx. We don't call Staten Island the real NYC.

Lucalis for pizza, but you might have to wait and not in manhattan. Go to los tacos either in Chelsea or 43rd street, you can then walk over Cafe Zaiya has good matcha/black sesame soft serve. You shoudl try Raku if you like udon noodles as the texture is great. For drinks, go to Angel's Share.
