    I get the sense that most folks don't understand measurements and the abilities of the human ear. In fact, most folks don't even know what they want, much less what they need.

    @ultrabike I'm still learning about my own preferences, but I do feel fairly confident that they don't line up with gear that 'measures well'.

    It is pointless for anyone to tell other people how their preferences line up. And that has little to do with measurements. That said, I would be surprised if you like something with a THD of >80% at your normal listening level and above. Because that means your music gear will produce random farts and banshee-talk whatever you put through it.
