Still don't plan to ever drop $$$ on portable gear unless I can somehow afford good CIEMs in the future, but it's still fun demoing new things. Wondering if I should bother trying to get ears on these.
Haha, got the exact opposite response re: value from someone else, but it seems to me these could be ridiculously good IEMs price notwithstanding. I think having some blandness just for ear calibration purposes might be useful.
You're also paying for the build quality and the huge amount of customization options. Basically qdc has the best looking CIEM construction in the industry, and a true TOTL tuning profile at less than $2,000. The bad is the small-ish soundstage, and bass doesn't punch as hard as most competitors.
I could blame my not being an IEM person but I've never heard of them before recently. Curious how they might fare against other popular manufacturers, haha.
