Whatever you don't mind accidentally misplacing? :p
Galaxy Buds are great if you don't mind Harman IEM target treble. It's a bit much for me, but Android has an app with EQ presets (or you could teabag mod like I did). Got to try Philips Upbeat Wireless, pretty inoffensive but conditions were bad for critiquing. Has a neck band for security. A friend of mine has nice things to say about SoundPeats True Wireless.
If for working out, I'd personally prioritise security and non-fatiguing sound. Not sure how much of a priority SQ will in those scenarios, but that's a personal decision.
Isn't the Drop Move really well regarded? Well within budget too. Just seemingly high risk of getting a pair with phase issues.
Had the Drop Move and ended up losing them after the wife had a big event at our place. I didn’t really enjoy their sound sig. Going to look at the Senns and Sony.
I stuck some Final E Series tips on my Senns. Really helps it out. Only drawback is they are larger the stock tips and pushes the iems a little out of charging in the case and turns them on.
I'm tempted to give the new Echo buds a shot. Price is decent, has active noise reduction, water resistant with optional workout ear holder things. Plus Alexa already knows everything about me so I might as well be able to ask her the weatheror the time when I am out and about.
I was looking hard at the Sony's, but the noise reduction isn't as good as their overears, no LDAC, no water resistance. Kind of no man's land with the price.
For working out, I'd say buy for convenience and durability over sound; Unless all you're doing is low impact steady state. And there's good odds you'll lose or break them too. I'd get some cheap waterproof and/or wireless Jabras.
I picked up the Bose sound sport free for my wife, and I actually rather like them. I would absolutely steal them if she didnt use them regularly. I personally don't care for IEMs. If I can get a good fit, they fall out easily OR just start to hurt after 20-30 minutes. And they almost always have tone/timbre issues that bother me, with a few minor exceptions.
Bose more just kind of float over your ear canal but have a full sound nonetheless. Surprisingly well tuned, with an emphasis on bass and slightly in the upper-mids. Not perfect, but one of the more agreeable IEMs I've heard.
As an FYI, I can only speak for music listening on these. Nothing else. And the Bose app is poop but rarely needed.
I was using my UE with a BT cable for wireless iems. Dropped it on hardwood and had to send it in for repair. I have dropped the Senns quite a lot last few months and still going strong.
Tempted to snag a pair of the Sony just to try them myself.
