We decided this morning to cancel our trip to the Napa Valley. PG&E seems to be going to cut power almost everywhere, except to the Silverado Resort area. Couldn’t be because of all the wealthy folks in the area. Nah! Safety first. Please be safe.
That sucks you had to cancel your trip @Ringingears because of this. Apparently PGE might also be implicated in the latest Kincade fire too - they're in all sorts of shit right now.
Looks like power might be out for up to 48 hours for those affected. Take care guys, remember to unplug all gear/electronics, as there may be power surges afterwards.
What kinda stuff are you losing money on? I know I'll have to throw out all of my food because of this.. I can imagine other people having it a lot worse though (esp those with medical problems who need the power). I believe you can for sure request a refund if you're out of power for 48 hours or something. Hoping that those local centers are well-stocked and prepared for you, and you take care man this weekend.
Two nights non-refundable at Silverado Resort. I called. Power is still on in the unit. But they cut power to a friend in Yountville about 6 with no notice. We just decided it was stupid to drive into an emergency situation. Plus two tickets to Lewis Black. I’m still asking for a refund. You take care too. I can’t imagine what people with medical problems are going through.
