Avoid houses with basements, if at all possible; thereby avoiding 2/3ds of the Things That Can Go Wrong. Watch out for polybutylene pipes & people passing off damaged Masonite by repainting it a dark color. Best luck!

Congrats. What part of Michigan? My wife and I met in Ann Arbor, and she's from the Detroit area. We miss A2...except for the weather.

@Josh83 We'll be in Jackson, so about an hour or so from friends and family. Which is way better than the 5.5 hours now.
