I refuse to use tidal, last time I tried it I could hear the DRM on pretty much every album, plus MQA is crap.

Spotify doesn't have the same DRM? I thought UMG did that on all of their music that's not on CDs, including bought(!) digital copies.

I haven't noticed it on Spotify. It was most noticeable on hi-res content on Tidal, so maybe lower bitrate makes it harder to discern. Also I don't critically listen with Spotify, whereas if I'm paying for lossless I want it to be indistinguishable from my CD rips. Either way, Tidal supports MQA so I won't support them.

Oh, I don't listen to the 'Master' tracks on Tidal, either. I think Music that isn't UMG should be fine, though. I know it was in the past, but maybe things have changed.
