Sorry to hear man. As someone who spends a lot of time just listening to stuff on their SD (cuz... phones are much more convenient than desktop systems) I've been there with crappy SD cards. What I do to help is partition my home server shiz so if something does happen to a card or whatever it's a quick copy/paste job.
Jesus, I have had at least 10 different micro SD cards for music, and every single one is still going strong (all Sandisk). Didn't realize I had been so lucky.
This one's a brand that was new to me (ADATA) and is also the biggest I've yet tried (128). My smaller Sandisks & Kingstons are still going strong after years.
I have not been unlucky with one either, but have certainly heard of people who have. I'm currently up to a 128Gb card in my camera! Seems huge, but I filled it in a few months.
I don't do much portable music. But when I do, I have a directory tree full of MP3s (Hey, SDs were smaller then) and I could recreate the SD in... well, not too long.
