    I mean it's not like other countries have done this before to the tune of 90%+ compliance and lower tax rates.... too bad our Congresspeople need campaign donations/bribes... and maybe jobs too after they leave DC... and they're such cheap sellouts.

    Annoyed b/c I've spent too much time on taxes this year. inb4 hire accountant.

    Don’t need flat rates for simplicity (and graduated rates are necessary for equality of sacrifice, given the declining marginal utility of each dollar). These days Excel could handle any tax code we want. Lobbyists, the revolving door, etc. are what’s standing in the way of much simpler, fairer taxes.
