    "Nested Feedback Composite Amplifier", which is to say a few opamps strung together...probably what Schitt's Heresy is (though I have not bothered to look into it). It would probably be a miracle if it sounded anything other than "different" than Heresy...

    Thanks. Yes probably not anything earth-shattering. A google search on the phrase picks up op amp application notes from the 80s. I've not looked into the Heresy design, but perhaps I should since it is a topic of discussion.

    No clue. I do see that it uses 4 TI TPA6120A2 chips. So it appears to have the op-amp count (8) to be fully balanced ii the cascade is a pair or op-amps. I lack experience in reverse engineering products from a BOM.
