Nothing beats the audio reviews where they just take video of the speakers playing music.

That's the problem. Usually there are good channels for other stuff, but not much for audio.

I've gotten far more out of SBAF reviews and impressions than YouTube reviews. That said, I thought Bert's 3-part review of the ZMF Eikons was amusing. ;)

@JustAnotherRando "Sound demos" are by far the dumbest thing ever. People who use those to help make buying decisions have questionable intellect.

What also makes me sad is seeing people make endless sidegrades, no matter the budget. And let me be clear, there is nothing wrong with a sidegrade as long as you're aware it is a sidegrade and it suits your preference more.

I use those videos as white noise for good night sleep

It's a mess out there. Pick your fighter: we got tween haircut, sentient anime boob pic, I'm here for the sick thumbnails guy, dyspeptic glasses Australian, vaguely creepy Australian, and others! Everything is the same level of good, described poorly. No one wins.

Lachlan was very good. Cause glasses/Australian. Between him and Hawaiian shirts it was easy to see where it would fall with my tastes.

Zeos has got to be the most ridiculous of them. If there is more ridiculous please don’t share.

I think Josh is currently one of the better ones, Olav maybe?

Dispeptic Aussie I had in mind was Darko, though I do have a soft spot for the guy out of all of them. At least he has a type of framework and lays it out (strictly comparative/non-advisory). Seems to have a chip on his shoulder about his own audience, which is kind of entertaining.

I wonder what Darko thinks of his KEF LS50 Wireless speakers. Big warning sign for me. :D

I think he mentioned that they sound like a delicious cup of coffee. He's had some hits and misses vs my own experience, but I think I'm just a sucker for macro shots of nice looking gear and electronic music.

He is consistent at least and have comparisons too. People like different things...

They sound quite badly distorted and compressed for 2k, even for 500USD. If that was his main setup I would walk away.. Just saying.

@Poleepkwa I agree on that, within reason. I think this needs to be said about KEF LS50 Wireless. There is too much wrong with these, compare these to any reasonable speakers and you find it out soon enough.

I tried listening to my own delicious cup of coffee this morning. As delicious as it was the sound was not up to par. However, it did sound better than any given YouTube audio reviewer.
