What's your take on the single-ended output of Modius? Still pretty good? I'm trying to avoid the need to introduce a balanced preamp into my system

@monacelli That depends on which market you are. For those who acknowledge good and bad aspects of DS, Modius is already awesome in any outs. I'd take it over RME OGs even on SEs.

Bal outs are more different than better. Heft, air, but a little rough on highs.

@monacelli Preamps bring some meat, flow, and life-likeness to the table. Freya rca in rca out did it too. So, I'm guessing any preamps with a great gain or output stage may work similarly.

Thanks! Yeah, I see the benefit of having an active preamp, or at least the option to switch between active and passive. And the delta between Saga+ and Freya S really isn't too bad in the big scheme of things
