That is so insanely overkill. A dual socket Xeon for audio streaming? 48GB of RAM?

24 TB of storage. Sweet, that should be enough for my ca. 6 million 128 kbps mp3 files.

I love the idea of buying a $27,000 computer to “stream from Tidal” because it will sound better. Rofl

Can't imagine they will sell too many at that price.

The 'clean computer' idea might have benefits. Alright, are the local regs also linear? Are the cpu bus converters linear? If so, then awesome. From hardware pov it would probably sound better with one powerful core, not 20.

    Biscuit. Takes the biscuit.

    (I can't help being a brit! ;) )

And yes: I too detest PCs dressed up in audiophool language.

Honestly doesn't seem tooo crazy. Just not sure why you need dual Xeon and 48gb ram for playing music...

@spwath, ask an audiophool. The storage and playing of digitised music is difficult and not well understood. It is absolutely not possible without complex, powerful and expensive equipment!

Preferably, don't ask an audiophool. Avoid audiophools!

I spent my day packaging a 60k component rack.

That’s what I meant earlier when I said I kind of like It. It’s an interesting looking PC. I mean it’s total BS. They put two random duelund caps to say there’s duelund caps inside and charge a premium, but it’s more interesting than a $50,000 rack or speaker cables

9 shelves, $60k, but actually was on sale for more like $10k. Big discount due to low sales with covid. Solid aluminum though, and very heavy.
