Make Yggdrasil Great Again

I don't think Yggdrasil ever was not great. I still believe it represents tremendous value despite costing what it does. I just expected it to kind of be ass for the first day or two. It isn't.....

Impressions will come, but I do want to give the unit ample warm-up time. I'll also mention what it kind of sounds like as I warm it up for funsies.

I this your personal or is it a tour unit? If the latter, I would love to get in if its not too late. I have almost pulled the trigger on it several times, as the reported character of the Yggdrasil A2's bass makes me worry that it won't be an upgrade to my Gun A2 for my preferences/systems...

Personal unit (basically, one of my DACs is going to move to speakers, where my current AV receiver is teetering on its last legs).

If your system is already tuned for Gungnir A2, Yggdrasil A2 is going to throw the balance out the window. Too early to tell, but right now the GS reminds me very much of the A1/Gungnir A2 kind of tonality.

Yea, that's what I could tell triangulating the impressions here. Looking forward to your take on how different and how much an upgrade/sidegrade the Yggdrasil GS is from the Gun MB A2!

Are you going to compare directly to Yggdrasil Analog 2?

I’ve considered ordering one only because they come in black and are cheaper than a new A2. :)

@zonto unless I somehow get someone to send me theirs, no. I've heard the Yggdrasil A2 only twice, so not sure how much I can tell you on that front.

^that being said about new toy syndrome, I don't get excited about things I don't like. The Morpheus didn't grip me like this.
