@Gungrave, what a Vtory was referring to in the Yggdrasil GS thread was the motto we have around here, which is “read moar, post less” (variant is “lurk moar, post less). Once you’ve exhausted some threads and triangulated some things about the gear and your goals, then ask more detailed and poignant questions that give insight about your gear, music preferences and likes/dislikes (generally and about current gear)
Then add value to the threads once you’ve heard various gear to relate your subjective impressions/feelings about it. We can’t help you without understanding where you’re coming from or where you want to go. There is no “better” or “best” around here, it all depends.
Btw, I very rarely dislike any posts, but posting about Modius in a thread about the Burl DAC would be considered off-topic and noise (and the meme didn’t help things). Reading more will help you understand this. Happy SBAFing. :)
I really don't want to explain myself as being new here doesn't help, but I appreciate you taking The time to show me the ropes, I was looking to purchase a dac that synergized with my chain.
I was pointed to delta sigma and mobius was being highly regarded, as a really good price. I had the intention of buying pro audio gear with well implemented delta sigma dacs. Which lead me to the convert 2 solaris and b2 bomber.
You may want to post your thoughts about one of those DACs in their respective threads, and also what you heard for differences with the other DAC, and then what you’re looking for in another “better” DAC for you. Also what you’re looking to spend, and also why you are specifically looking for a pro DAC.
What rlow said. If you're going to make a post, make it worthwhile and say something useful. Just typing "Thanks" or "I have a Modius and I'm ready" is generally considered noise that clutters up the threads and will cause you to get dislikes. This ain't Head-Fi.
Actually, that is what we have a "Like" button for. And yes, I try to not make useless, silly, or "one-liner" posts on all my forums now. Mind you, I don't always succeed <Blush>
