It comes to no one's surprise that the Arya Organic is not to my liking. Solid C+ with my planar hat on maybe. Has a few huge drawbacks. Apr 12, 2024 at 3:21 PM

There's nothing that can really hurt you in SoCal. Black Widow spiders aren't aggressive and usually only bite if you accidentally trap (or try and handle) them. If they bite, it's uncomfortable but very rarely a problem. Despite what people think, we don't get Brown Recluse spiders. We get spiders that look similar, but are harmless.

Not long after reading an article on how sideways push switches tend not to be supported by anything more than the soldered tags which take the strain, I found that was the exact problem with my mosquito swatter. My electrical soldering is shit too... but it saved the day, the device, and a whole five or six in USD!

You know you have the right phase when the soundstage doesn't sound like ass. Some amps or other gear or even recordings will invert phase.

Some amps are inverting and using the phase switch seems to go better with that. My sense is whichever phase sounds "duller" is the "wrong" phase. In other words, whichever phase sounds more focused is the right one.

The iFi stuff is very good. They do really good shit with that Burr Brown DAC chip. They are the best DS implementations that I’ve heard, at least for my preferences. (haven’t heard the Matrix, Convert, or other Yggdrasil priced DS stuff though).

I surmise we tend to set the volume to our own optimal position that is determined by a number of factors -- as opposed to sound pressure only. I bet if you 'measure' spl then everything would follow the specs.

Note there are two non-wrong ways: "Enough info at lower vol" vs "Not harsh at higher vol".

Ratio of H2 to H3 (or maybe extended to H4) is imho far more important indicator to me.

Also power-induced harmonics (60n hz for integer n) typically make results unreadable without indicating much info.
