Okay, so when they don't have the data points to correlate with a subjective experience, everything breaks down. Also Amir hears things better than most people, so if HIS ears contradict the numbers, it's not subjective bias, but lacking data to support his impression.
Amir: We know Revel speakers are good because they are designed to score well in the preference rating, but other speakers that score well in the preference rating are not good if I don’t subjectively like them.
I'm beginning to see why people there are so confused sometimes. Though to their credit, there are some people in there that get how neither experience nor data can account for everything and don't necessarily invalidate each other. They just don't get included much in conversation, except to get shut down.
