My dad dropped a lot of acid back in the 60s. He said he had a trip that lasted three days, with people melting into the floor while he was at an art museum. I guess those were the days.
Harm reduction education says shrooms. Blotter tabs can have poorly studied potentially dangerous research chemicals. Genuine LSD is fairly rare in 2020. Much harder to fake a plant.
@E_Schaaf is on the money. Anything sold as LSD these days is likely to be a "research chemical" that, while some have very similar in effects, some RCs have known risks that can be incredibly dangerous in admittedly rare but seemingly random situations.
I'm not saying that I regret it, except maybe some of my brain cells might function better now if I hadn't.
I've since come to believe that brains are too sensitive for LSD. It's like taking a sledgehammer to delicate electronics. And the other reason I'd never do it again is lack of confidence in what's in that pill. Could be any poison.
can't claim much experience of mushrooms. Very limited. Better know your fungi well, I guess. And if you do, at least the unreliable supply chain is excluded.
If you must do blotters, swallow your tabs. genuine LSD is colorless, odorless, tasteless, and orally bioavailable. Most NBOME RCs are not orally bioavailable but are sublingually active. Metallic taste = fake
No matter what, set yourself up for a good trip. Be in familiar surroundings or surroundings where you feel safe. If possible, have a friend or loved one with you who is sober to help guide you back to positivity should you get hung up on a negative train of thought. Bring fresh fruit to eat, and music you really love. Enjoy!
@Merrick ’s advise can’t be overstated. Me and my friends had a new acquaintance over for a shroom night and he started tripping bad (real bad). I guess he must have felt insecure, as we were new company. He thought we were trying to kill/harm him and he started crying out the window for help. That was the last time I had shrooms.
LSD is as good or as bad as your last trip. Same place, same people, same music: all kinds of things can send you in one direction or the other. Know /that it does wear off./ It can be a great lesson in just knowing you will survive. Seriously. Want to mess with this stuff? Take the rough with the smooth. It is not always going to be cosmic peace and watching the colours come out of the speakers...
